Результаты исследований позволяют утверждать, что эта патология широко распространена и не имеет тенденции к снижению, являясь одной из основных причин субфертильности или бесплодия. В масштабах Российской Федерации эта ситуация имеет особую значимость с точки зрения сложившихся отрицательных демографических тенденций. Анализ проблемы, в который вошло 60 литературных источников (11 отечественных и 49 иностранных), показал, что вопросы этиологии, патогенеза и лечения варикоцеле остаются предметом научных дискуссий. Лечение варикоцеле и его рецидива направлено, в первую очередь, на профилактику или восстановление уже имеющихся нарушений репродуктивной функции, восстановление фертильности с учетом минимизации вероятности рецидива и осложнений.</p></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>   For many years, the focus of attention of domestic and foreign urologists andrologists is the problem of patients with varicocele. The results of the research suggest that varicocele is widespread in the male population, and does not have a tendency to decrease, being one of the main causes of subfertility or infertility that in the scale of the Russian Federation are of particular importance in terms of the prevailing negative demographic trends. When writing the article, 60 literary sources were processed, of which 11 are domestic, 49 are foreign. Analysis of literary sources shows that all questions of the etiology, pathogenesis and treatment of varicocele remain the subject of debate.
